Groundwork Fukuoka engaged in a festival

On Sunday, the 12th of September, 2010, the Hojoya festival took place in front of the Hokizaki shrine in Fukuoka. At many colorful stalls one could buy Japanese festival food or try ones hand at different Japanese gambling.

A few blocks away from that fair another festival took place, which was a little bit smaller but not less colorful and tasty than the other one. And instead of chaos, the social gathering was of importance. Regarding a request, different members of organizations came together. First, some artists performed feats and dances. Later speeches were hold and after that delicious self-made Japanese food was served.

Along the way volunteers of Groundwork Fukuoka sold products from Joyo at that festival. Not even recurring shower could stop them. In the end it was a complete success.
