My name is Kazimir Menzel, 24, from Germany, and today is my first day as an intern at Groundwork Fukuoka. I am very interested in Japanese culture, especially in the modern Japanese society and politics. So I decided to learn Japanese and to come to Japan to do an internship and to learn and to improve my Japanese, of course. I choose Groundwork because I like very much their comprehensive approach to tackle the problems that arise in so called mature urban societies and the creative solutions resulting from from their efforts. I hope I will find a lot of things to take home with me when I must leave. In Germany, I am studying at the University Heidelberg, majoring in political sciences with the minors public and international law as well as philosophy. I am looking forward to another 4 weeks of new experiences and discoveries of amazing おいしい food!
p.s. I am the one sitting in the middle.
